Community Acupuncture is a very traditional way of receiving acupuncture. In Community Acupuncture, practitioners treat a group of people in the same space. At Aurora Community Acupuncture, each person lays on a massage table separated by enough space to be semi-private. This way of providing acupuncture is cost-effective. It allows more people to take advantage of it and allows people to come more often. In the group setting family and friends can receive treatment together. The support of having a shared experience can amplify the healing process.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

When you arrive, you will be greeted. When you get settled, your practitioner, a licensed acupuncturist, will interview and assess you so she can design your treatment for the day. You may want to wear loose clothing since you can keep all your clothes on. Then your arms and legs, hands and feet, head and neck and perhaps portions of your torso can be accessed. Once the needles have been placed you can relax for 30 to 45 minutes. After the treatment, your practitioner will check in and complete treatment notes.
